ANCHOR nurses are registered nurses who specialize in the administration of IVIG/SCIG in the home setting. They work closely in partnership with the referring MD and specialty pharmacy to coordinate patient care in a safe and efficient manner. ANCHOR nurses are responsible for completing nursing assessments and providing proper patient education. Following the specialty pharmacy policies and protocols, the RN will administer each therapy while monitoring the patient throughout the entire infusion, all with the goal of ensuring the best patient outcome.
